Our environmental issues can no longer be ignored, as government bureaucracy is the least efficient way to facilitate balance in any issue. Land usage should be determined by each individual. Hunters, campers, naturalists, farmers, and environmental enthusiasts understand the real issues, and should be the ones leading our conversations and decision-making, not corporations and government. Our current state of environmental affairs has shown that environmental issues cannot be solved from the capitol building. Taxing individuals with the hope that money will go toward environmental causes does little in actually helping the environment, as that money is often spent in other ways. Environmental change happens when the people are equipped with resources and free to make the best choices for their land.
