Iowa, it is time to unite people before party.

hands, teamwork, team-spirit

For far too long, Republicrats have worked as “good cop/bad cop” to take our freedoms away.  While many of the laws have been enacted with the best of intentions, the reality is that these overreaching laws restrict our ability to choose our best paths. The voting members of the big parties care more about towing party lines than representing the people. The work they do is rooted in manipulation tactics that convince us to follow their leader, or else you are evil. It is time that Iowa stands up as the example of freedom and liberty for the entire country to follow. The time for us to restore our rights in our state is now!

" The voting members of the big parties care more about towing party lines than representing the people. "

In the past year and a half here in Iowa, we have had racial tension, riots, protests, and pandemic numbers of global proportions. We have seen economic turbulence due to business closures and mandates that pick winners and losers – essential and nonessential. We’ve seen battles between the governor’s office and school boards over masking and online learning, and we the people are stuck footing the bill on both sides of these frivolous talking point lawsuits. We have witnessed long time businesses closing their doors. We are under the rule of a governor who has overstepped her bounds, acting against the will of the people and legislature on marijuana laws and usage.  We have areas across our state and here in our own county where brown water pours from faucets, barely usable and unhealthy. Iowans are tired and are ready for change. We need representation in our neighborhoods. We need diversity of voice. We need diversity of experience and background. We need someone that is willing to put the interests of the people over the same old party politics.

In the past, I was a firefighter and paramedic with two local departments. Because of this, I have a passion for public service. As a firefighter and paramedic, I saw my fellow Iowans during scary times in their lives. This is why I am running, putting Iowans over party. It is time to unite as a state and send a message. It is time for party politics to end, and Iowans to come first.
How do I plan to do this? Simply, I want to focus on key issues that face Iowans today. Those issues are healthcare, policing reform, education, small business, environment, and gender and sexual minority issues.
"Most people in our state believe that each of us has the right to the pursuit of happiness. Our differences are only apparent and exist in how we secure that right. "

Most people in our state believe that each of us has the right to the pursuit of happiness. Our differences are only apparent and exist in how we secure those rights. As a fellow Iowan, my role in our state government will be to fight to protect your individual liberties so that you can walk your own path. Whether we personally agree or not on various issues, my job as your representative will be to protect your rights from government intervention. This is my pledge to you, to your families, to your friends, to all members of all political parties. I believe in People over Party, and I trust YOU to do what is best for yourself!
